Journey of Faith
While some of our guests are long time Christians many are new to faith. If that describes you, know that you are not alone! You may be searching or seeking for something that you now feel is missing or desire to develop. Perhaps you have outgrown the faith of your childhood and need to replace it with something more mature and authentic. If you are visiting our worship for the first time or are revisiting church for the first time in a long while you probably have some basic, personal questions you need to explore.
Again, please feel free to speak with one of our pastors or a church member about your questions. But if you want to take these first steps on your own - at your pace and in your own space, a very helpful book, Finding Faith: A Self-Discovery Guide for your Spiritual Quest, by Brian McLaren, may be a good place for you to start. This book really does begin at the beginning with questions like “Does it really matter what I believe?”, “If there is one God why are there so many religions?” and “Don’t all paths lead to the same God?”. You can find this and many other books in our library on Sunday mornings. Speak with one of the ushers or any church member for assistance.
